ABOUT US

We are a small family business, run by Olivia and Dan with the "assistance" of our two small humans  - Archie and Indie.

Daniel recently finished 13 years with the New Zealand Defence Force, serving with the NZ Infantry Regiment, both here and overseas, while Olivia comes from a teaching background but is currently learning the ropes with the "stay at home Mum gig".

 The "Yard Starter" concept was dreamt up when we realised there was a gap in the market for small, back yard event hire. We thought we could fill that gap with some affordable package deals which were easy to deliver and store. Needless to say, we talked about it for a long time but it wasn't until Covid-19 hit and we were in lock-down, that the magic really started. All of our rustic furniture has been lovingly handcrafted in our garage by Dan -under the watchful eye of his assistant Archie, and the rest, as they say - is history!
